Job summary

The Judge Group seeks a Senior Facility Mechanical Estimator to join our Highland, TX team. You will estimate pipeline and facility projects in the oil and gas sector, focusing on cost accuracy and competitive bids.

Onsite role with collaboration across project management, engineering, and procurement. Requirements include 5+ years in estimating, knowledge of pipeline methods and facility tie-ins, and proficiency with industry tools (Hard Dollar, MS Project, Primavera P6, OnScreen Takeoff,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience estimating pipeline construction or facility projects in oil and gas.
• Knowledge of pipeline construction methods, welding and manufacturing, compressor/pump stations, and facility tie-ins.
• Proficient with Hard Dollar, MS Project, Primavera P6, OnScreen Takeoff, and Excel.
• Experience estimating from RFQs, P&IDs, isometrics, and client specs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for pipeline, facility, and integrity projects.
• Ensure bids reflect field expertise and are competitive and profitable.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, procurement, and field operations to develop cost models.
• Prepare cost estimates for pipeline construction, gathering systems, tie-ins, compressor stations, and integrity projects.
• Attend pre-bid meetings.
• Review RFQs, drawings, and project scopes.
• Evaluate field conditions.
• Utilize estimating tools and databases to build all-inclusive bids.
• Collaborate with operations.
• Develop bid strategies.
• Update cost history database for accuracy.
• Support project handover.

The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Facility Mechanical Estimator with 5+ years of experience estimating pipeline construction or facility projects within the oil and gas industry for projects from 2 million to 35 million dollars.

COMPENSATION: 140k to 175k plus bonus

LOCATION: Onsite position located in Highlands, TX

MUST HAVE: 5+ years of experience estimating pipeline construction or facility projects within the oil and gas industry

MUST HAVE: Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, welding and manufacturing, compressor/pump stations, and facility tie-ins

MUST HAVE: Experience with Hard Dollar, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, OnScreen Takeoff, Excel

MUST HAVE: Track record preparing estimates from RFQs, P&IDs, isometrics, and client specifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for pipeline, facility, and integrity projects


• Ensures bids reflect our field expertise and are competitive and profitable


• Work with project management, engineering, procurement, and field operations teams to develop cost models


• Prepare cost estimates for assorting projects (Oil and Gas Pipeline Construction, Gathering Systems, Tie-ins, - Compressor Stations, Pipeline Integrity Projects)


• Attend pre-bid meetings


• Review RFQs, technical drawings, and project scopes


• Evaluate field conditions


• Utilize estimating tools, databases to build all-inclusive (Direct Labor, Equipment, Materials, Subcontractor, Indirect - Costs) competitive bids


• Collaboration with operations


• Develop bid strategies


• Update cost history database (Productivity Metrics, Material Pricing) for accuracy


• Support project handover

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience estimating pipeline construction or facility projects within the oil and gas industry


• Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, welding and manufacturing, compressor/pump stations, and facility tie-ins.


• Experience with Hard Dollar, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, OnScreen Takeoff, Excel.


• Track record preparing estimates from RFQs, P&IDs, isometrics, and client specifications.


• Experience with unit rate and lump-sum estimating.


• Prior field experience in pipeline or facility construction is highly desirable.


• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred.
