Job summary

Clean Energy Fuels in Boron, California, is seeking a Mechanical Equipment Technician to maintain and service the LNG production plant's mechanical systems, control and power distribution, and HVAC equipment. The role emphasizes adherence to safety procedures and thorough maintenance documentation using CMMS.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 5 years of mechanical experience in a plant environment (natural gas preferred), and proficiency with basic Office

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade training is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical experience in a plant production facility.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, procedures and schematics.
• Good written and verbal communication; teamwork and safety oriented.
• Experience with CMMS or maintenance documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service plant mechanical equipment, control systems, power distribution and HVAC.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs to plant systems.
• Conduct safety and maintenance inspections to assess wear and replacement needs.
• Use diagrams and schematics to install, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair equipment.
• Order parts and coordinate with service providers to complete tasks.
• Log activities in a CMMS or work order system and follow safety procedures.
