Job summary

Innovation First International, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the VEX Robotics division's mechanical design and product development.

You will manage engineers and designers, ensure high-volume manufacturing readiness, and mentor staff while delivering multiple simultaneous projects. The role requires strong fundamentals and collaboration with electrical/software teams; in-person position in Greenville, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 8+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience taking consumer products from concept to mass production.
• 3+ years in a leadership or direct supervisory role managing mechanical engineering teams.
• Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to summarize complex challenges.
• Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing) and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of mechanical engineers and CAD designers.
• Conduct performance reviews and set clear goals for individuals and teams.
• Allocate resources across product pipelines to meet timelines.
• Direct the mechanical engineering lifecycle from concept to mass production.
• Establish design for manufacturing (DFM/ DFA) and reliability practices.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware with electronics.
