Confident Search Consultants, recruiting on behalf of a manufacturer of temperature sensors, seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead product design engineering and guide technical decisions from customer requirements through production release.

You will lead and develop the engineering team, review designs, manage resources, and ensure high-quality solutions. Collaboration with sales, manufacturing, and quality is essential to improve manufacturability and deliver engineered assemblies.

Formación

• Progressive product design engineering experience with responsibility for complex technical decisions and design delivery.
• Strong leadership experience managing people, priorities, and multiple development projects.
• Clear communication with customers, commercial teams, manufacturing personnel, and senior leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop the engineering team, establish priorities, allocate resources, and manage project commitments.
• Provide hands-on technical direction for product architecture, mechanical design, materials selection, tolerances, and design verification.
• Lead concept, preliminary, and detailed design reviews; challenge assumptions and resolve technical risks before release.
• Translate customer performance, environmental, and interface requirements into clear engineering specifications and validation plans.
• Oversee drawings, bills of materials, design calculations, engineering changes, and controlled product release.
• Partner with sales and customers on technical feasibility, application requirements, proposals, and custom product solutions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality to improve manufacturability, address field or production failures, and support new product introduction.
• Build engineering capability through coaching, clear technical standards, and consistent design and project management practices.
