Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support reactor internal component projects by developing specifications, drawings, and engineering documentation, with a primary focus on supplier support and evaluating fabrication-related changes.

You will perform analysis and risk assessments, review fabrication and welding documentation, and collaborate with sourcing teams and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure components meet technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
• At least five years of engineering experience involving fabrication and manufacturing, particularly welding.
• Experience with 3D CAD, GD&T, and FEA.
• Familiarity with welding codes and fabrication documentation.
• Nuclear industry experience is a plus.
