Job summary

HIKINEX seeks an experienced mechanical/aerospace engineer to develop and integrate hardware for unmanned air vehicles in the United States. You will own designs from concept to real-world deployment, applying first principles physics to every decision and leading design reviews with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include building prototypes, performing analyses, coordinating with vendors, and executing test plans.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems in advanced air vehicles.
• Proficiency in CAD design and understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, molding).
• Strong use of engineering first principles in decision making.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Experience with NX/Teamcenter is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate hardware on unmanned air vehicles.
• Own designs from concept generation to real-world use.
• Use first principles physics as a basis for decisions.
• Lead design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plans.
• Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.
• Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.
• Travel to test sites as needed.
