Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15–20 years in mechanical engineering, preferably involving complex industrial, vacuum, gas-handling, nuclear, or process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build, scale-up, and industrialization of a specialized vacuum system for UF6 enrichment.
• Own mechanical execution from concept through vendor fabrication, integration, testing, and production release.
• Apply FEA and engineering calculations for structural, thermal, vacuum, and mechanical integrity assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, operations, machine shops, and contractors to meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements.
• Lead mechanical design and development of UF6-rated vacuum systems from lab to manufacturable industrial equipment.
• Create and own 3D CAD assemblies, drawings, interfaces, tolerances, GD&T, BOMs, and release packages.
