Nightwing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Springfield, VA to drive design from concept through prototype, testing, and production.

You will work with mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers to deliver practical, innovative solutions, while coaching junior staff and coordinating hardware fabrication and documentation. A strong background in CAD and rapid prototyping is required.

Formación

• TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is required.
• 5 years mechanical engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
• Prototyping with rapid, iterative design and frequent integration/test cycles.
• Hands-on experience building, testing, and troubleshooting prototypes (motors, actuators, sensors).

Responsabilidades

• Design products from concept to prototype through testing and documentation.
• Create and deliver drawings; coordinate hardware fabrication and reviews.
• Prepare presentations, cost estimates, and technical reviews for diverse audiences.
• Coach junior engineers and support cross-disciplinary collaboration.
