Job summary

Lennox is seeking a Mechanical Engineer IV to lead complex mechanical and electromechanical projects, mentor engineering teams, and drive product development from concept through execution. You will apply advanced engineering theory and state-of-the-art analysis to deliver reliable, manufacturable solutions that meet performance and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of engineering experience in combustion heating, product development, or related field
• Advanced knowledge of engineering science, mechanical systems, and development methodologies
• Expert proficiency with CAD software and engineering analysis tools
• Expert knowledge of design principles, drawings, blueprints, and documentation
• Experience leading major engineering projects and complex initiatives
• Strong ability to apply advanced theories and research methods
• Outstanding analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience evaluating materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Ability to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and consulting across the organization

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, analysis, and validation of complex mechanical systems and components
• Direct major engineering projects and critical development phases
• Apply advanced engineering methods to solve challenges
• Conduct investigations, testing, and analyses for new designs and improvements
• Develop innovative solutions for performance, quality, cost, reliability, and customer needs
• Review data, test results, and analyses to support decisions
• Research industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies
• Evaluate designs and recommend modifications for manufacturability and reliability
• Coordinate and provide technical leadership to engineers and technicians
• Support cross-functional teams to achieve objectives
• Evaluate supplier capabilities to meet technical and business needs
• Provide technical consultation to stakeholders
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, standards, and policies
• Mentor less experienced engineers and team members
