Skills Alliance in Austin, TX, seeks an engineering professional to drive design of surgical robotic components from requirements to final product. You will model with SolidWorks, generate drawings, perform validation, and ensure regulatory alignment for safety and performance.

Role requires medical device experience, FEA/CFD skills, and strong root-cause and risk-analysis abilities to meet time-to-market and cost targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Hands-on SolidWorks experience and 3D CAD modeling proficiency.
Direct experience in the medical device industry with IEC 60601 familiarity.
Experience with EMC and Safety Testing and regulatory submissions (510(k) preferred).
Proficiency in FEA/CFD simulation, risk analysis (dFMEA) and tolerance analyses.

Responsibilities

Develop and specify product functional requirements and testing strategies.
Design, test and integrate components and sub-assemblies into the final design.
Conduct root cause investigation and evaluate solutions against requirements.
Create CAD 3D models and detailed drawings to company standards.
Aim for performance, time-to-market, cost and product quality goals.
Collaborate with the development team, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists.
