AnySignal is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design of space radios—enclosures, cooling paths, and structures for launch and orbit. You will lead end-to-end enclosure design from concept through drawings, fabrication, and qualification, and you will set the mechanical work cadence for a growing hardware team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of mechanical design experience, including flight hardware.
• Expert-level CAD and GD&T to ASME Y14.5.
• Thermal design for vacuum environments with test correlation.
• Structural analysis (random vibration, shock) and MS budgets.
• Experience leading environmental qualification campaigns.
• Strong DFM instincts for precision machining and sheet metal.
• Ability to lead with incomplete requirements and coordinate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design of space radio enclosures from concept to drawings and qualification.
• Design thermal paths and perform vacuum conduction analyses with data correlation.
• Perform static, modal, and random vibration FEA and manage margins of safety.
• Plan and run environmental qualification campaigns including test plans and fixtures.
• Select materials and processes suitable for space, ensuring cleanliness and compatibility.
• Produce manufacturing-ready drawings with GD&T and coordinate with vendors on DFM and first-article.
• Collaborate with RF and PCB engineers on mounting, interfaces, shielding, and grounding.
• Own mechanical interface control documents with customers and integrators.
• Lead mechanical design reviews and enforce documentation and configuration control.
• Establish/mechanical engineering practices and mentor new engineers as the team grows.
