Job summary

You will drive product development from inquiry to production, participate in APQP processes, perform DFMEA/PFMEA, create CAD drawings and BOMs, and coordinate with manufacturing teams to launch cost-effective sensor products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Mechanical Engineering experience post degree.
• Successful experiences with designing packages for new sensors for various applications.
• Successful project management experience demonstrated by managing schedule, budget and exceeding customer expectations.
• Experience designing and developing sensor products for customer applications.
• Innovative mindset evidenced by ownership of multiple patents.
• Experience introducing new products and processes into local and remote manufacturing locations.
• Experience developing and launching sensor products within the APQP process.
• Successful utilization of plastic injection molding and automated manufacturing processes in sensor designs.

Responsibilities

• Product development - from inquiry to order and from order to production.
• Concept, Design and Production validation.
• Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
• Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
• Product documentation - CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Regulatory compliance - REACH, ROHS, and IMDS.
• Quality improvement - root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Timeliness - deliver results on time and within budget.
• Cost reductions - execute cost-out activities on existing products.
• Safety - ensure safe products and processes in a safe manner.
• Benchmarking - competitive product analysis.
• Collaborate with local and global manufacturing teams.
