Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in St. Marys, PA to lead sensor technology projects from concept to production.

You will design circuits, develop embedded firmware, and guide cross‑functional teams with customers to deliver on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in analog, CAN/LIN, and embedded systems, with C/C++, RTOS, and ARM Cortex‑M experience, plus ISO 26262/ASPICE familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• >7 years of experience in electrical engineering of analog, LIN, and CAN output devices, embedded firmware development, and ASPICE experience is a plus.
• Understanding of embedded C/C++, RTOS, and microcontroller architectures (ARM Cortex‑M).
• Experience with automotive protocols (CAN, LIN) and industrial interfaces (Modbus, EtherCAT).
• Familiarity with safety-critical development processes (ISO 26262, ASPICE).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate technical engineering initiatives to complete projects within budget and on time.
• Delegate tasks to team members based on skills and experience for efficient progress.
• Conduct regular meetings with customers to clarify requirements and timelines.
• Maintain budgets and adjust as needed.

• Circuit/schematic design, PCBA layout, PCBA test and verification.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Plan and coordinate technical engineering initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within budget and on time

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• >7 years of experience in electrical engineering of analog, LIN, and CAN output devices, embedded firmware development, and development within ASPICE process is a plus.
• Understanding of embedded C/C++, RTOS, and microcontroller architectures (ARM Cortex-M).
• Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN) and industrial interfaces (Modbus, EtherCAT).
• Familiarity with safety-critical development processes (ISO 26262, ASPICE).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with sensor fusion, signal processing, or machine learning on embedded platforms.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434).
• Experience with model-based design (MATLAB / Simulink) and code generation tools.
