Job summary

VoltForce seeks a Senior/Staff Mechanical Engineer to deliver a sensing and software platform for high-volume thin film manufacturing lines. As an early team member, you will influence the technical foundation and help build a scalable product.

The role requires hands-on design, fast learning, and clear communication with clients to iterate on designs for reliability and manufacturability. On-site in San Leandro, CA, full-time.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with at least 6 years of experience.
• Experience leading independent mechanical design projects for integrated systems.
• Experience with motion control and GD&T applicable to tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and validation of the company’s non-destructive sensing platform.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to research, develop, and validate sensing concepts.
• Perform studies to characterize sensor and platform performance.
• Iterate designs based on client feedback with attention to integration speed.
• Create and maintain technical design documentation (requirements, drawings, tests).
