SHELLBACK Semiconductor Technology in Coopersburg, PA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, manufacture, and continuous improvement of our capital equipment. You will work hands-on, own full lifecycle mechanical development, and collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams on complex systems.

The role emphasizes robust CAD design (Autodesk Inventor), troubleshooting, and on-site execution.

Qualifications

BSME or equivalent degree required.
8–10+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience in semiconductor capital equipment or similarly demanding environments.
Hands-on fabrication, mechanical assembly, integration, testing, and production release experience.

Responsibilities

Lead full lifecycle mechanical development of capital equipment and subassemblies from concept through fabrication, assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning.
Design complex mechanical and electromechanical systems to meet product and customer requirements.
Develop and modify 3D models, drawings, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Electrical/Controls, and suppliers to ensure successful equipment release.
