Job summary

Simplexity Product Development, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client‑facing team in Bellevue, WA on a cutting‑edge robotics product. You will be skilled in FEA (ideally ANSYS) and communicate tradeoffs based on modeling results.

The role includes making design updates for manufacturability and creating release‑quality documentation, with a long‑term engagement and collaboration with client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience with at least 2 years in FEA.
• Proficiency in ANSYS or similar FEA software and SolidWorks CAD.
• Ability to work on-site in Bellevue, WA with client teams.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and optimize actuator designs for manufacturability and reliability.
• Perform structural finite element analyses.
• Define tests, diagnose failures, and iterate to working hardware.
• Present design tradeoffs and risks to client stakeholders.
• Improve manufacturing performance and reduce field and safety risk.
• Coordinate mechanical interfaces with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Maintain and update part drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Respond to evolving client needs over a long-term engagement.
