Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to support refinery and industrial capital projects in the Pacific Northwest. You will lead engineering execution, mentor teams, and coordinate closely with operations, maintenance, and field personnel.

The role requires extensive experience with process piping, fixed and rotating equipment, and compliance with ASME/API standards. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Direct experience supporting refineries, petrochemical facilities, and oil & gas facilities.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing project workloads.
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, NBIC and API standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering execution for refinery and industrial projects.
• Coordinate with project teams across disciplines to ensure design integrity.
• Prepare and review equipment data sheets, technical specifications, and vendor bid packages.
• Review piping layouts, isometrics, and installation details for compliance with codes.
• Provide field support during construction, commissioning, and startup phases.
• Mentor and supervise Mechanical Engineers and junior staff.
