The State of Connecticut - Department of Administrative Services is seeking a Professional Engineer for their Real Estate and Construction Services division. Qualifications

Eight years of experience as a project engineer with full responsibility for engineering design of major projects.
Substitutions allowed: college training in engineering may substitute for general experience (up to 4 years).
Incumbent must possess and retain a current Connecticut Professional Engineering license.

Responsibilities

Provide technical review of plans and specifications prepared by external engineers.
Lead multidisciplinary technical reviews of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
Develop and maintain standardized engineering design requirements for State building construction.
Shape energy-related standards and advise project teams on sustainability goals.
Manage energy efficiency initiatives and oversee external consultants.
