Job summary

Mattur is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own mechanical designs from concept through production release. You will develop production-quality 3D models and GD&T documentation, collaborate with machining, fabrication, and assembly teams, and guide prototypes to manufacturing readiness.

The role requires hands-on prototyping, problem-solving in a shop environment, and experience with common manufacturing processes to improve designs and ensure successful production transfer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 5–8 years of mechanical engineering experience in hardware product development.
• Experience taking designs from prototype to production release.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and production drawings with GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design from concept through production release using SolidWorks.
• Create and maintain production-quality 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and GD&T documentation.
• Plan and support prototyping, build, testing, and iteration with shop teams.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to resolve design-for-manufacturing issues.
• Support systems integration and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and operations.
