Job summary

Middough Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to manage full lifecycle development of a mechanical system, from bid evaluation to final design and testing. You will design with AutoCAD/Navisworks, perform calculations, and prepare specifications.

Field support and vendor reviews are included as part of project execution. The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of engineering experience, and proficiency with Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office; Revit

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience performing engineering analysis and design functions.
• Working knowledge of Plant 3D, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Navisworks required.
• Revit Mechanical experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project development of a mechanical system from start to finish.
• Design, create, test, and improve mechanical system components using designated Company software.
• Evaluate bids and design options to meet client requirements for operability, reliability, maintainability and safety.
• Develop project technical specifications and data sheets using AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Collect data and perform engineering calculations; write technical reports.
• Assist in field work by checking installations and collaborating with the project team.
• Perform calculation checks and vendor drawing reviews throughout the project.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external suppliers for project information.
