Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Wilson, NC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our manufacturing team. You will research, design, develop, and implement mechanical products and systems for production and energy use, applying advanced knowledge and handling complex problems.

The role requires expertise in safety design, CAD, and cross-functional collaboration to support project delivery, reliability, and continuous improvement at our large Wilson facility with 1,600+ teammates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related mechanical engineering experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Experience designing mechanical safety systems and CAD drawings.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of mechanical safety systems and barriers.
• Develop BOMs and coordinate with vendors for scope of supply.
• Oversee project scope, budget, justification and scheduling.
• Communicate project status with cross-functional teams and management.
• Ensure compliance with plant/industry safety rules and quality processes.
• Provide CAD drawings and assist with commissioning and reliability activities.
