Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Wilson, NC seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and implement mechanical products and systems for production lines at the 2.67 million sq ft plant.

You will apply advanced knowledge to safety design, reliability improvements, and cross-functional project execution. Responsibilities include leading safety design processes, overseeing contractors, managing projects from scope to commissioning, developing BOMs, and coordinating with maintenance,

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical safety systems/barriers – provide CAD (3D) drawings of designs.
• Develop Bill of Materials for scope of supply and work with vendors.
• Plan labor resources and scheduling to meet technical scope, budget, and schedule.
• Lead mechanical projects through all phases: design, fabrication, commissioning, and operation.
• Coordinate with maintenance, production, and engineering to resolve mechanical system issues.
