Job summary

Benchmark Electronics is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to create and document designs for customer products, tooling and test fixtures, and to perform basic to high-complexity design tasks.

You will develop drawings, perform tolerance analyses, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure fabrication and testing meet requirements. The role supports ongoing engineering projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides mechanical design and documentation for customer products and tooling.
• Develops basic to intermediate drawings of components and assemblies.

• Interacts with vendors to ensure proper fabrication of components.
• Supports development of prototypes and testing fixtures.
• Drives project plans and reports status to leadership.
• Assists with cost estimates and project proposals.
• Develops drawings to support manufacturing environments.
