Job summary

Capgemini frog is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to deliver innovative design solutions from concept through manufacturability. You will lead mechanical activities, mentor juniors, and drive projects end-to-end within interdisciplinary teams.

You will engage with clients to present recommendations and trade-offs, and may contribute to business development through proposals and pitches. Strong CAD and DFx skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or similar.
• 5+ years experience in mechanical design for consumer electronics and related products.
• Advanced 3D CAD modeling and surface modeling skills (SolidWorks preferred).
• Experience leading mechanical design within multifunctional teams as lead.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, stamping, machining, casting).
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly for high and low volume products.
• Ability to prepare vendor-ready documentation (3D CAD, 2D drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions).
• Experience with prototyping techniques (3D printing, casting, rapid tooling).
• Hands-on electronics and firmware prototyping with off-the-shelf components.

Responsibilities

• Represent depth in the craft of engineering as individual contributor, mentor, and global community member.
• Plan, prioritise, and deliver mechanical engineering activities autonomously within interdisciplinary projects.
• Lead client conversations within your domain, present recommendations, and frame product trade-offs.
• Possibility to lead small teams and contribute to business development through proposals and pitches.
