Job summary

Amtec Staffing is seeking a mechanical design/analysis engineer to research, design, and develop mechanical products and assemblies. You will create parts and drawings in Creo, evaluate design concepts, and ensure compliance with military specifications and product requirements.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 4 years experience (or MS with 2 years), strong CAD skills, and ability to work with suppliers and shops to realize designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 4 years of related experience, or MS with 2 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of creating moderately complex solid models and mechanical designs using CAD systems (Creo/Pro-E).
• Ability to solve moderately complex technical design problems requiring engineering knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with internal or external shops to manufacture designs.

Responsibilities

• Researches, plans, analyzes, designs, and develops mechanical products and systems.
• Performs technical analysis, testing, and evaluation of moderately complex engineering problems.
• Interprets design specs, drawings, documents, and test results to ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
• Develops and maintains technical documentation and may present related material.
• Creates and maintains product parts, assemblies and drawings using Creo Parametric 11.
• Contributes to project plans, schedules, and budgets and provides input to leaders.
