Mesh Optical Technologies is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead development of major subsystems across our optical hardware platform. This senior IC role requires ownership from concept through production ramp, guiding architecture and ensuring performance, reliability and manufacturability.

You will drive mechanical design, tolerance and thermal analyses, and work with suppliers to qualify components and support production ramp, while tackling high-impact, ambiguous challenges with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing complex hardware in production settings.
• Ownership of subsystems through production ramp with accountability for performance and manufacturability.
• Strong first-principles knowledge in mechanics, heat transfer, and tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical development of major subsystems from concept to production.
• Design precision electro-mechanical assemblies with tight tolerance control.
• Perform structural, thermal, and tolerance analyses to drive decisions.
• Lead design-for-manufacturability and automation decisions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to qualify components and ramp production.
• Define validation strategies and test fixtures; support root-cause investigations.
