Job summary

Gems Setra is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical architecture of precision sensors for HVAC and environmental monitoring. You will design components for pressure, flow, temperature, humidity, and air quality sensors and ensure robustness in demanding environments.

You will collaborate with Electrical and Firmware teams, lead prototypes and testing, optimize for manufacturability, and drive design improvements across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required with 8+ years experience; Master’s degree with 5+ years acceptable.
• Strong background in sensor design for HVAC, building automation, industrial, or environmental monitoring.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or equivalent CAD tools; advanced GD&T experience.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies for HVAC and environmental sensors.
• Create CAD models, drawings, GD&T and material specs with tolerance analyses.
• Perform FEA and thermal analyses to validate robustness under HVAC conditions.
• Lead prototyping, environmental qualification and reliability testing.
