Job summary

Gemma Power Systems seeks a Mechanical Engineer to oversee the EOR mechanical team and ensure designs meet contract requirements and Gemma standards. You will support project development by creating technical documents in response to RFPs and coordinate with the PEM to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions.

The role involves reviewing drawings, performing sizing and piping calculations, and managing equipment vendors through design, procurement, and commissioning, with travel as needed

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of related experience in mechanical design.
• Experience with power plants or industrial facilities.
• Experience with steam system and piping design.
• Experience coordinating vendors from proposal to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical design work and ensure conformance with contract and Gemma standards.
• Review EOR drawings and vendor deliverables to support schedule.
• Develop specifications and perform calculations for equipment sizing and piping.
• Assist with bids, RFP responses, and technical evaluations.
• Coordinate site visits and vendor meetings during construction and commissioning.
• Ensure field issues are addressed promptly to support schedule.
