Job summary

Verto People Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide owner-side oversight on a power generation project in Texas. You will review mechanical designs, coordinate with suppliers and contractors, and support the site team in resolving technical issues throughout delivery.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in power or process plants, hands-on experience with rotating equipment, familiarity with ASME codes and API standards, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

At least 10 years of mechanical engineering experience within power or process plants.
Practical experience with rotating equipment and plant auxiliary systems.
Working knowledge of ASME codes and API standards.
Experience reviewing technical documentation with construction teams.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.

Responsibilities

Review mechanical drawings, equipment datasheets and technical specifications.
Check supplier submissions against project requirements.
Assess design changes and respond to field engineering queries.
Review equipment layouts and system designs for operation and maintenance.
Support technical coordination across major equipment and plant auxiliary systems.
Track engineering deliverables against project deadlines.
Verify equipment storage and preservation requirements meet manufacturer guidance.
