Job summary
TalentZök in Riverside, CA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead development, testing, and manufacturing of products and tooling. The role requires overseeing projects from concept to execution, performing design and engineering analyses, and mentoring other engineers.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, experience with injection or compression molding, and strong CAD skills (SolidWorks).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
- Experience with polymers and plastics processing.
- Injection molding and/or compression molding experience.
- Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software; SolidWorks preferred.
- Knowledge of engineering analysis and simulation tools (SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, Creo Simulate) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop project plans with milestones, tasks, tollgates, and timelines.
- Perform engineering analysis including design reviews and tolerance studies.
- Identify process deficiencies and implement solutions to improve performance.
- Create scopes of work with objectives and budgets.
- Maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and test reports.
- Estimate engineering hours for internal projects and track effort.
- Lead prototyping, testing, and evaluation of designs.
- Mentor and train engineering team members.
- Ensure manufacturability and reliable performance of products.
