Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing and releasing mechanical systems.
• Experience with precision motion or high‑performance mechanical systems.
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical components and system architectures for high‑precision motion instruments across product lifecycles.
• Own mechanical design from concept through production release with validation.
• Create advanced 3D CAD models and drawings with GD&T.
• Perform tolerance analyses and FEA to ensure performance and stability.
• Design precision mechanisms and opto‑mechanical assemblies and ensure environmental stability.
• Lead prototype development, assembly, integration, and testing to drive iterations.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, manufacturing, and cross‑functional teams for manufacturability.
