Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Utilities & Environmental Systems to lead design, maintenance and optimization of plant utilities. You will manage HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, and related controls, delivering robust engineering solutions for pharmaceutical facilities.

You will develop basis-of-design documents, perform load calculations, and produce P&IDs and BAS control strategies, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree with required experience in pharmaceutical facilities maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA regulations and related industry standards.
• Ability to lead maintenance programs and work independently or in teams.
• Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for plant utilities and environmental systems including HVAC, chillers, and controls.
• Design and support HVAC/utility systems for pharmaceutical facilities; perform sizing and design intent documentation.
• Develop engineering deliverables including P&IDs, equipment layouts, and BAS philosophies.
• Lead multiple projects; coordinate with cross-functional teams and forecast resources.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety regulations and support continuous maintenance improvements.
