Job summary

Lee, Hill & Associates is seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer (PE) to lead HVAC design for a diverse portfolio of building projects in Roanoke, Virginia. Qualifications

• Virginia Professional Engineer license (or ability to comity) for mechanical discipline.
• 7–10 years of professional experience designing HVAC systems for buildings.
• Ability to seal drawings and manage a project’s mechanical scope end-to-end.
• Experience with HVAC load calculations and energy modeling software.
• Strong communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary design team.
• Stable work history; no more than 2 jobs in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems and prepare project specifications.
• Perform HVAC load calculations and energy modeling.
• Own mechanical scope from design through construction.
• Seal drawings and provide senior technical oversight for mechanical work.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with architecture, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams.
• Support construction administration including submittal reviews and RFIs.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers and uphold technical standards.
