Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for a range of projects from concept to construction. You will develop construction documents, technical studies, and cost estimates, and provide engineering support during construction.

The role requires a P.E. license (CA or reciprocal) and 7+ years in commercial/industrial settings; AutoCAD experience is essential. Strong collaboration with clients, architects, and regulators is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• P.E. License in California or a reciprocal state.
• 7+ years mechanical engineering/design experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Experience with mechanical design for Public Works, State Agencies, and/or municipal authorities.
• AutoCAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, and government projects from concept through construction.
• Develop construction documents, technical studies, and cost estimates.
• Provide engineering support during construction, including reviewing submittals and resolving field issues.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
