Job summary
Westinghouse Electric Company, at the New Stanton facility, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the WPB Procurement (Parts) Engineering team. You will work on spare parts for operating plant mechanical products and coordinate with cross-functional teams on procurement packages.
The role is on-site in New Stanton with a mobile component requiring 2–3 days on site weekly. A PE license, 4+ years of experience and SAP knowledge are preferred, with compensation in the stated salary range.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Professional Engineer license is required.
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Experience with fabrication of ASME code components is a plus.
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, mechanical seals, motors, etc. is preferred.
- SAP knowledge focused on production, requisitioning and material master data management is desirable.
- Experience writing technical procurement requirements and input for specifications is a plus.
- Familiarity with the AP1000 design process is a plus.

- Provide technical input during the proposal process.

- Assist in developing equipment qualification test procedures, evaluate test results and review final reports.
- Prepare Commercial Dedication Instructions.
- Provide engineering support to manufacturing and shop operations for a variety of products.

As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer in the Westinghouse Parts Business, you will work in our New Stanton facility to support the WPB Procurement (Parts) Engineering team. The New Stanton site works on projects to enhance plant safety and reliability by providing the instrumentation and control, pumps and motors, and electro-mechanical products and services that our customers require. You will support spare parts for operating plant mechanical products.
You will report to the Manager of Procurement Engineering. This is a mobile role that is expected on site in New Stanton at least 2-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review technical packages including drawings, specifications, and procurement requirements for various mechanical products.
- Work as part of a cross-functional team including quality engineering, supply chain management, marketing, customer service, and the supplier base.
- Provide technical input during the proposal process.
- Develop and/or maintenance of Material Master Data and Parts Baselines in SAP.
- Determine critical equipment characteristics to support equipment qualification and commercial dedication activities.
- Assist in the development of equipment qualification test procedures, evaluate test results and review final reports.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $85,200.00 to $106,500.00 per year.
