Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of nuclear-qualified mechanical components and systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and performance.

You will apply ASME Code, engage in testing, support proposals, and provide technical guidance to engineers while staying current with nuclear quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years applicable experience in an industry role.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and mechanical design principles.

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Lead on the design and development of mechanical components and systems, including creating prototypes and testing for reliability and safety.
• Perform calculations and apply ASME Code to design and analysis of qualified nuclear sensors/instrumentation.
• Familiarity with Nuclear quality regulations such as 10CFR50, Appendix B, NQA-1, and 10CFR, Part 21.
• Develop design deliverables compliant with standards and customer requirements ( drawings, BOMs, procedures ).
• Prepare technical presentations and written communications for customers and management.
