Job summary

James Fisher Technologies LLC is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join a cross-disciplinary team that designs and validates custom equipment for nuclear and hazardous environments. You will own defined tasks and collaborate with senior engineers to deliver robust solutions.

Positions span Engineer II–IV with salaries from $90,000 to $139,000 per year, depending on experience. Occasional travel is expected; the role follows a 9/80 schedule and a strong mentorship culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of mechanical engineering and design experience.
• Experience with FEA, stress, fatigue and vibration analysis.
• Experience in manufacturing environment including machining, welding, assembly, testing.
• Knowledge of complex mechanical equipment, fabrication and processes.
• Ability to use 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor/SolidWorks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (<10%).

Responsibilities

• Own defined design tasks within an interdisciplinary engineering team.
• Develop custom mechanical equipment and systems for nuclear and high-integrity applications.
• Receive direction from senior technical leads and contribute to design reviews.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to deliver results.
• Travel occasionally to support projects as needed.
