You hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in production machinery, strong automation and thermal analysis skills, and proficiency in GD&T, SolidWorks, and PDM. This onsite role requires collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years in production machinery or similar.
• Experience with automation, control cabinets, sensors, PLCs, data acquisition and I/O devices.
• Thermal analysis of vacuum systems and bakeout planning.
• Ability to perform conductance calculations and pump down modeling.
• Willingness to work onsite four days per week in Burlington, MA.

Responsibilities

• Design within Stack Forging manufacturing systems, including equipment for material prep, cutting, inspection, bonding, and assembly.
• Run design processes from concept to final design reviews.
• Document and communicate design decisions.
• Improve overall equipment efficiency and process stability.
• Refine machine requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Perform proof-of-concept and benchtop testing to inform decisions.
• Own subsystem designs, BOM, CAD models, and drawings.
• Select and manage external vendors for components.
