Job summary

Great opportunity for an experienced Senior Product Mechanical Engineer with a global technology leader in Minneapolis, MN. You will own mechanical design for NPD and sustaining products throughout lifecycle.

This role focuses on mechanical architecture, manufacturability, and engineering excellence in highly regulated environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, compliant products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, incl. 3+ years electro-mechanical.
• Experience with Creo/ Windchill/ SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical architecture and design execution for new product development and sustaining engineering programs.
• Contribute to mechanical strategic planning, concept generation, and system/subsystem/component design focusing on manufacturability, reliability, and safety.
• Develop and document mechanical requirements, design specifications, and verification test plans for regulated products.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on product risk analyses, technical reviews, and design validation.
• Perform mechanical design analyses, including FEA, tolerance analysis, and GD&T, to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Work with manufacturing teams and suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability, including casting, injection molding, machining, and assembly.
• Develop and execute mechanical verification and validation testing in collaboration with Test Engineers.
• Identify and resolve mechanical design issues through root cause analysis, FMEA, and risk mitigation techniques.
