The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team supporting development of the next generation of naval propulsion plants for the world’s best Navy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Doctorate in related field or Advanced Reactor Training/Refueling/RPCO Engineer at the Company.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, and testing support of new naval propulsion components and technologies.
• Development of improved manufacturing processes to reduce cost and development times.
• Component/system design, analysis, and support of secondary system development.
• Design and analysis of reactor plant structures.
• Integration of mechanical work with the broader propulsion plant design team.
