Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Strong CAD, GD&T, and engineering documentation skills.
• About 5-8 years of mechanical product-design experience in manufacturing with full product development cycle.
• Experience designing precision motion-control, electric-motor, or electromechanical products.
• Experience with machining and tight tolerances; knowledge of manufacturing processes and DFM.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Interest in mentoring and growing into a management role.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop precision motion-control products from concept to production.
• Serve as primary technical owner for assigned products and activities.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, BOMs, calculations, and documentation.
• Lead product changes from request through implementation; plan and perform analyses, prototypes, testing, and validation.
• Balance performance, manufacturability, quality, cost, and schedule with sound engineering judgment.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance to Mechanical Designers.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering methods and product designs.
