Job summary

M2X Energy Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, development, and manufacturing of modular gas-to-methanol plant equipment and related systems at our Rockledge, FL facility.

You will translate chemical process designs into fully detailed mechanical designs, create 3D models, and drive prototypes to scalable production. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing.
• Experience with construction, fabrication, and assembly of large equipment.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of process systems, codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience taking concepts from design through pilot stages to full-scale manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and design input for manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Review mechanical and electrical system designs to improve manufacturability.
• Design and develop process equipment including vessels, piping, and heat exchangers.
• Create and review 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Translate process diagrams into repeatable fabrication workflows.
• Develop SOPs and work instructions for technicians and contractors.
• Specify tools, fixtures, and jigs to improve build accuracy and throughput.
• Lead root cause analysis for defects and deviations.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, NEC, OSHA standards.
• Coordinate factory acceptance testing and liaise with vendors to improve quality.
• Define product specifications and perform design trade-offs for cost vs. performance.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities via mass manufacturing and standardization.
• Provide mentorship and cross-functional leadership across teams.
