Job summary

M2X Energy is seeking a Process Operator for its Bartow, FL site to operate, monitor, and maintain biogas-to-methanol systems. You will act as the main liaison with external stakeholders and support SAT and field commissioning.

A hands-on operator with mechanical and electrical skills will excel, working with engineering and manufacturing to ensure data accuracy, safety, and high uptime in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in mechanical, electrical, or industrial tech.
• 2+ years operating or maintaining industrial or lab equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools and diagnostic instruments.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and familiarity with sensors and control systems.
• Familiarity with HMI system operations and data analysis in Excel/Word/Teams.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor/industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Maximize equipment uptime through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Provide clear daily reports on status, findings, and issues.
• Operate industrial systems and manage methanol storage and transfer to partners.
• Read operating procedures and provide comments.
• Collect, log data, and verify equipment performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
• Support SATs and system commissioning with engineers.
• Maintain records of tests, calibrations, and maintenance logs.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment support.
• Manage tools, parts, and consumables inventory.

Job description

Role: The Process Operator will operate, monitor, and maintain M2X’s biogas to methanol production systems. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for the operating facility, acting as the liaison between M2X and external stakeholders. This position will support engineering development, site acceptance testing (SAT), and field commissioning of modular, mobile biofuel plants. The operator will work closely with the Engineering and Manufacturing Teams to ensure accurate data collection, safe operations, and high equipment uptime. A strong candidate will have hands‑on mechanical and electrical skills, familiarity with instrumentation and data acquisition, and the ability to work in a fast‑moving, field‑oriented environment.

Specific responsibilities may include:

• Maximize equipment uptime through proactive monitoring and maintenance
• Provide clear daily reports on operating status, findings, and issues to broader team

Qualifications:

• Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent applied training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology
• 2+ years of experienceoperatingor maintaining industrial or laboratory test equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools and diagnostic instruments
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with sensors and control systems
• Familiarity with Human Machine Interface (HMI) system operations
• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams) and basic data analysis
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures
• Ability to lift 50lbs.and work in outdoor or industrial environments as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in industrial testing, process operations, or field service
• Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, or other industrial control system
• Experience with biofuel, chemical, or renewable energy process equipment
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and hazardous-materials handling
• Track recordof effective collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

$28-36/hour (based on experience)
