  • Completes routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
  • Develops budgetary M/E estimates using automated systems.

JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into a high-performing team focused on cutting-edge projects for innovative clients, including large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of the team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, advancing your career alongside industry professionals.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Learns and participates in all aspects of safety and quality plans, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment.
  • Completes routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
  • Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated systems.
  • Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and completes systems analysis.
  • Learns to develop scopes of work for bidding processes.
  • Assists with bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
  • Develops sequencing requirements and provides solutions to meet schedules.
  • Gains knowledge of design documents to identify quality issues and assist in constructability reviews.
  • Performs job inspections to ensure specifications are met and work quality.
  • Assists with shop drawing/submittal processes.
  • Supports the commissioning process, including developing checklists and testing procedures.
  • Promotes diversity and inclusion, understanding JE Dunn's non-discrimination policies.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs more complex activities in mechanical, electrical, and field construction.
  • Develops estimates, reviews options, and recommends systems.
  • Coordinates scopes during bidding and develops sequencing plans.
  • Reviews design documents for quality issues and develops quality control programs.
  • Conducts inspections and develops testing procedures.
  • Prepares commissioning plans and verifies deficiencies.
  • Mentors less experienced team members and creates process improvements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Accuracy and timeliness in work.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction management methods.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or related field required; relevant experience considered.
  • 5+ years construction/engineering experience preferred.
Working Environment
  • Valid driver's license required.
