Job summary

Primoris Pipeline, a leading EPC firm in the midstream oil and gas sector, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, analysis, and execution of pipelines, compressors, and related facilities in Houston. You will drive key mechanical deliverables, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with ASME, API, and ANSI codes while partnering with project teams.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in oil and gas, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, and a PE license is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE license desirable.
• 10–15 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on midstream projects.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards (ASME, API, ANSI) and design codes.
• Proficient in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CAE tools).

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and engineering activities for midstream projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Develop and review mechanical engineering deliverables, including specifications, calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Conduct detailed mechanical analysis, including stress analysis, fluid dynamics, and thermal analysis.
• Oversee procurement activities, including the evaluation and selection of mechanical equipment and materials.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to define project scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in engineering processes.
