Job summary

Primoris Pipeline is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our midstream EPC team in Houston. You will lead mechanical design, analysis, and execution for pipelines, compressors, and related facilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-budget, on-time delivery while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in mechanical engineering within oil and gas, midstream focus.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI standards and design codes.
• Proficiency in mechanical design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CAE tools).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and engineering activities for midstream projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Develop and review mechanical deliverables, including specifications, calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Conduct detailed mechanical analysis, including stress analysis, fluid dynamics, and thermal analysis.
• Oversee procurement activities, including evaluation and selection of mechanical equipment and materials.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to define project scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in engineering processes.
