Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer I - Onsite for a direct hire opportunity in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on design, layout, and calculation of mechanical equipment for modernization and new installations in the metals industry.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years of experience, with proficiency in Creo CAD and strong communication and teamwork skills. This position offers competitive compensation and on-site work in Pittsburgh.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Minimum 5+ years' experience.
Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with CAD software (Creo) and related software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Prepares, maintains, revises 3D models, drawings & bill of materials per standards.
Performs feasibility studies, reports and basic design calculations.
Leads design reviews and ensures on-time, in-quality, in-cost execution.
Interfaces with customers and suppliers; supports procurement and vendor submittals.
Conducts installation, commissioning, field verifications, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Drives collaboration across engineering teams and training of younger engineers.
