Job summary

Vantage MedTech in Lyndhurst, NJ is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, fabricate, and test mechanical components for state-of-the-art medical devices. The role requires a strong background in electro-mechanical systems, safety, and design control processes, with collaborative cross-functional teams.

You will lead mechanical architecture, perform GD&T, oversee FMEA, manage ECOs, and mentor junior engineers while interfacing with Business Development to transfer new activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required; a Master’s is preferred.
• 10+ years of industry experience in design, development and testing of mechanical systems.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to generate detailed engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Experience with medical device design principles and regulatory standards (IEC 60601-1).
• Familiarity with design for manufacturing and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mechanical components for medical devices.
• Lead mechanical architecture concepts and componentry for complex systems.
• Collaborate with electrical/firmware teams to solve cross‑functional challenges.
• Create documentation for manufacturing transfer and regulatory submissions.
• Mentor and provide senior technical leadership to the mechanical team.
