Job summary

Roche Holding AG is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Indianapolis, Indiana, to contribute to development of blood glucose meters and continuous glucose monitoring systems. You will work within an agile team, developing mechanical components and assemblies for series production under applicable standards and regulatory guidelines.

You will perform analyses on complex components, create DoE-based test plans, conduct tests, interpret results, and document findings for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or medical technology (or relevant field) with 7+ years of experience; or Master’s with 5+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in development of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Basic knowledge of parametric design (Creo Parametrics, SolidWorks) and plastics engineering in a regulated medical device environment.
• Knowledgeable in at least two of: plastic technology, sterile component design, manufacturing and automated assembly of plastic parts.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical components and assemblies for glucose meters and related systems.
• Create test plans with Design of Experiments (DoE) and perform testing; document results per regulatory requirements.
• Perform parametric CAD design and FEM simulations; implement changes into product design.
• Collaborate with operations, manufacturing and external partners to support production line development.
