Job summary

The role emphasizes hands-on CAD modeling, GD&T proficiency, and mentoring of junior engineers in a fast-paced environment within the HF Heart Failure division. On-site employment is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• 5+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering or product development.
• Ability to work within many functions and support Electrical, Mechanical and Systems teams.
• Mastery of CAD modeling and drawing creation (SolidWorks or equivalent).
• Ability to work on-site full-time.

Responsibilities

• Researches, develops, designs, and evaluates mechanical and electro-mechanical materials, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment.
• Conducts feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality.
• Develops new concepts from initial design to market release with an understanding of GD&T.
• Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development.
• Investigates and evaluates existing technologies.
• Reviews or coordinates vendor activities to support development.
• Utilizes simulation and modeling tools to evaluate designs.
• Mentors less-experienced staff and may supervise other technical employees.
• Exhibits independent judgment and prioritizes assignments.
